With winter passing and the days becoming longer and warmer, many people are eager to get outside and enjoy Spring’s renewal of the earth. There are plenty of activities for outdoor newbies to consider once those tree buds bloom.
The following are our top picks for activities that can be done year-round (for the most part), but we believe they signify and are best done in Spring.

Kayaking and Canoeing
It still might be a little cold for swimming, but that doesn’t mean you can’t throw on a life jacket and rent or bring your own kayak or canoe to your local river, lake, pond, or beach front (depending on what you boat is built for) for an hour or two of relaxation and arm workouts.
Fly a Kite

Spring offers some of the windiest months in the USA, especially in March, and it’s a fantastic time to take your kite to the sky. You can buy your own kite, but some people attempt to build their own--bringing creativity to the outdoors!

Plant a Garden
Whether your garden is a large plot of land or just a couple of pots on your front porch, Spring is when you want to plant your seeds or sprouts and get that garden going. Of course, make sure you wait until there won’t be another frost.
Camping

Camping is a year-round activity, though we can safely assume it’s most popular in the summer. However, campsites are often booked several months in advance for June-September. For a weekend getaway or for a week-long school break, Spring will have more availability. Plus, the days won’t be as hot!
These are only four of the plethora of Spring activities that anyone can do. What is your favorite? On or off our list?
